Former Pacific Palisades Honorary Mayor, Nanette Fabray passed away on Thursday, February 22nd at her home in Palos Verdes Estates. Fabray was 97.

Fabray, a three time Emmy award winner, was an actress, singer and dancer who became a star in Broadway musicals, on television as Sid Caesar’s comic foil and in movies such as The Band Wagon. In between her busy schedule, Fabray served as the Pacific Palisades Honorary Mayor from 1967-1968.

Chamber Executive Director, Arnie Wishnick, says he was always impressed with Fabray, “She was an outstanding Honorary Mayor. I understand that whenever Honorary Mayor Fabray was called upon, she participated in as many community events as her busy schedule allowed. When I met her I was always impressed with her sharp sense-of-humor.”
